After running around fashion week with Julia DiNardo for the past couple of seasons I’ve been impressed with the blogger’s ability to multitask. Seriously, this girl does everything. In addition to writing her popular blog, Fashion Pulse Daily, Julia heads up community affairs for the Style Coalition, writes for a myriad of publications and teaches! So what’s her trick to staying stylish while dashing from meetings to class to events in New York City? Classic staples. Here’s one of her faves:
The Staple: Black Cocoon Sweater
Who Makes It: It: I have two that I rotate: the first two are from Forever 21 and the last one is from Norma Kamali for Wal-Mart
Why I Chose It: I literally wear one of these black cocoon sweaters everyday! They are so much more chic than a typical cardigan and really nicely envelope your body. Plus they go with literally everything, from jeans and old t-shirts to filmy, floaty, girly, feminine dresses (with four-inch heels, of course). In fact, my Mom liked my Norma Kamali one so much I had to buy one for her, lest she steal mine! Looks great belted with skinny or wide belts as well.
Where I’d Wear It: In these photos, I was heading to a graduation party, shopping in midtown, Manhattan and at New York Fashion Week at Lincoln Center. They really can be worn ANYWHERE though—truly an amazing item, that looks good on everyone and hangs at the perfect length.
