“I just love the whole Californication aspect of Juicy,” Elisabeth Röhm tells me while hosting an exclusive trunk show at the newly remodeled Juicy Couture Malibu store.
The former Law & Order ADA got involved because of her love for fashion and to help a good cause. A percentage of proceeds from the event benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Malibu Teen Center. “I think that children deserve a place to play and a place to express themselves that’s safe,” the actress explains.
And speaking of children, it was actually Elisabeth’s three-year old daughter who helped her get dressed for the event. “She wanted us to wear this,” the actress says of her sophisticated Juicy outfit and Easton’s pint-size plaid dress. “That’s why we’re the only ones in black at a summer party.”
They may be in black but the duos mega-watt smiles and Easton’s shiny pink ballet flats light up the entire room. “Juicy is a really good mom and daughter one-stop shop,” Elisabeth says while keeping a motherly eye on her mini-me.
As for fashion and beauty tips when it comes to little ones? “I just make sure she’s slathered in sunscreen and I let the rest of it work itself out.” And from the looks of it, it works out quite fashionably.
Also stylishly dressed at the event is image consultant Laurie Brucker and my fellow fashion blogger Beth Jones (click here for a details on what I wore). We taste delish shaved ice, shop for the cause and discuss that how adorable the store would be as a girlie haven on the beach…. complete with limited edition Juicy Couture surfboards.
