At this year’s SAG Awards, Amber Riley was perfectly on trend in a lace Badgley Mischka halter. When deciding what to wear to kick off Oscars week, I thought of the Glee star’s dress and remembered my own I had scored at Shareen Vintage last year.

I liked how Amber’s ankle strap heels added a retro pin-up feel so I slipped on my own lace platforms. I was party hopping that night and needed to cover up for an earlier event. So taking note of Amber’s black bow top I added a fur vest to my dress. While I liked her updo, sleek straight hair felt more me.
