(Jill Stuart, Hervé Léger, Stella & Dot at BWR lounge, Christian Siriano, Alexandre Herchcotich)
I knew today was going to be a good day the minute I slipped on this metallic colorblock HL dress. Bandage just does magical things for a woman’s figure… and mind. And boy was today magical. I kicked it off at Jill Stuart, where romantic black and white lace floated down the runway, mixed with soft nude dresses and retro-inspired silk.
After heading back to the Empire Hotel for a quick makeup touchup with Bare Escentuals and some Stella & Dot jewelry additions at the BWR lounge it was time to go backstage. I was thrilled to quickly chat with Max and Lubov Azria before the Hervé Léger show and see celebrities like Daisy Fuentes (the model does not age!).
For Spring, Hervé Léger was inspired by the South, resulting in intricate embroidery and waist-cinching harnesses. It was an incredibly hot show! On the other end the spectrum was Christian Siriano, who showed off a softer side with ballerina inspired dresses. I lost my breath over a pearl-encrusted gown, fit for a modern bride. Then there was Alexandre Herchcovitch, who wasn’t scared to have fun with fashion with checkerboard prints, heart motifs and bright colors.
