Staple Used: Snakeskin Dress
A great way to get more use out of a dress is by turning into a skirt. Today, I simply folded a blouse and secured it with a medium size belt. I recently bought this top from J. Crew during one of their sales. I was immediately drawn to the color: gallery green. Tomorrow is the last day of the J. Crew 25% promotion.
It’s a great time to stock up on basics. Simply enter OURTREAT at checkout. Have fun!

I love the ways you’ve styled your silver snake skin dress. I especially love it paired with this kelly green blouse.
Great color on you. I love skirt and the undertone of green in it. AMAZING!

The blouse def looked better on you than the model on their website. If I saw that before I saw this post, I would be even think about getting it! You style it well. Are you model, if not you would be a great one : )
That’s so sweet, thanks! No I’m not a model, only 5’3!
@MyStyleGenie loves the tip to get more wear from your wardrobe.
It always amazes me how you turn dresses into skirts. This is yet another beautiful combination.
Thanks Tia!
I just love the way you have turned the dress into skirt 🙂 however, how did you hide the shirt under the belt?
Thanks Saadia. I simply folded it under and used the belt to secure it. Make sure your belt is thick enough. A skinny belt won’t hide the fabric. Here’s an old tutorial I did that might help:

Thanks sydne, I really appreciated your quick response, I just can’t wait to try this trick 🙂
