Fashion Staple Used: Plaid Shirt
The minute I saw this Western shirt I was drawn to the sequin embellishment. It’s a fun contrast to the masculine flannel plaid. If you can’t find one of your own (I got mine on sale at Joe’s Melrose boutique), you can do a little DIY by adding feminine embellishment to the shoulder or pockets.
For a festive holiday affair, I tucked the button-down into a feather skirt and added some more sparkle with some jewels and my Sole Sparkle heels. A little tip? If you’re going to tuck a thicker shirt into a thinner fabric, like silk or satin, tuck the shirt into shapewear first. It leaves a smoother line. This trick also works with tights if it’s chillier where you live. Hope you have a festive holiday!
