(chocolate mint martinis, with hostess Kristen, DIYing my cuff, ice skating with Chanelle and Jenny, my final cuff, a cabana of bloggers)
When an invite suggests sparkling and faux fur attire, you know it’s going to be a good party. And that it was! Last week, my fave do-it-yourself diva, Kristen of Glitter ‘N Glue, joined forces with Swarovski Elements for sparkling DIY soiree.
I joined a group of fabulous LA bloggers for an afternoon in the cabanas at the W Westwood, sipping delicious wintry martinis, munching on roasted date crostinis and DIY-ing with the most gorgeous Swarovski crystals. It was funny how each bracelet reflected everyone’s fashion sense from minimalist to edgy to absolutely blingtastic. Mine was feminine and sophisticated, with an intricate pattern that took an incredible amount of patience to create. But the end result was totally worth it!
In addition to DIY and indulging, we went ice skating at Chill (you might remember hearing about the hybrid ice skating rink in this post). I’m not the best ice skater, so I made up for it with my outfit choice: faux fur, crystals galore and a mix of soft polka dots and snow leopard.

Thanks to Kristen and Swarovski for a the most wonderful holiday afternoon! Now my new DIY bangle can join my other cuffs on my vanity table. I recently did a DIY project of my own, transforming old candle holders I received as a Christmas present into decorative bracelet storage.
So fun! Loved your ice skating ensemble!!
