(Carolina Herrera, American Express Skybox, Mathieu Mirano, DL1961, Alice + Olivia, Reem Acra)

I was so thankful to kick off my morning watching Carolina Herrera at the American Express Skybox. Not only was the show incredible with its 1940s splendor, escaping the chaos of the tents in a serene lounge was the perfect way to deal with the awful weather!  Next it was on to Mathieu Mirano’s mad scientist-inspired collection, where I fell in love with the nude and black color combos.

Over at DL1961, I picked up a few styling tips. My fave being layer a button-down over sleeveless peplum to make it seasonal. Then I sipped pink champagne (designer Stacey Bendet’s fave!) over at the Alice + Olivia presentation. Standout pieces included a leather bustier as well as lace and feather dresses. I ended my day at Reem Acra, who was full of drama from the goat hair coats to tulle masterpieces that ended the show.

As for me? I combatted the rain with patent pumps. This dress is a wintery version of the illusion dress I wore last fashion week. The black side paneling makes it just as slimming but the thicker material keeps you warm. Then, I brightened up my look by layering two colorful necklaces over my dress.
