Fashion Staple: Striped Dress
One trick I use time and time again is switching a dress into a skirt with a button-down. I prefer chambray because it’s a heavy enough material that it won’t show the fabric underneath. But it’s still light enough to fold over and belt it. When doing this trick, make sure you use a thick belt (preferably with a bit of stretch) so your shirt tail doesn’t peek through. I kept the casual vibe by adding leather accessories, then brought out the stripes of my skirt with a matching necklace.

Love the tip for belting a button down shirt over a dress!
love the stripes! also love that you belted it rather than tied it into a knot. you could never tell it was a dress.
