A cardigan is a great layering piece. You can roll it up in your bag and throw it on when it gets chilly. There a ton of styles to choose from: v-neck styles, crew-necks and, of course, the popular boyfriend. For this post, I’m showing how to style Old Navy’s crew-neck cardigan ($9.97-$24.94) three ways.
Cardigan: Old Navy / Shirt: Old Navy / Jeans: James / Shoes: Sole Society / Necklace: Stella & Dot / Scarf: Old Navy / Belt: Old Navy
One of my favorite ways to wear a cardigan is layered over a button up shirt. Make sure your shirt is on the thinner side so your arms don’t get bulky. You can go with classic white or add color with fall’s popular plaid trend. Then, add a long set of chains or layered pendants to elongated your neckline.
When you button a crew-neck cardigan all the way to the neck it acts as sweater. Embellish the neckline with a bib necklace. Just make sure to wear a thin cami underneath in case one of your buttons pops open throughout the day.
By belting your cardigan, you’re able to create that desired hourglass shape. This works great over dresses but you can also do it over pants. Stick to thinner belts (thicker styles will cut off your torso). I layered a fun printed scarf on top to keep cozy.

I really get inspired by your posts 🙂 So much fun reading and watching them!
Great post. Each look is so different. But I think I like the belted look the best.
