Last month, my Texan bestie Devon Rachel got married. If you’ve been following her blog, you’ve seen glimpses into her wedding prep and the wedding was absolutely beautiful. She got married at The Joule Hotel in Dallas, and the modern architecture provided a cool contrast for her whimsical combination of black and white accents with pink flowers. Seriously, the floral arrangements were incredible! All her deets are on Style Me Pretty but here’s a little sneak peek of the wedding…

As for what to wear to a Dallas wedding? The theme was black tie. But these days, black tie doesn’t mean you need to wear a ball gown. I knew we’d be dancing the night away so instead of going for a dress with a long train, I did a midi sheath. I’ve been very into the sheer trend recently and the embroidery on this Chagoury Couture dress was the special touch needed for a dressy affair. Since the dress was completely sheer, I layered a nude slip underneath then used gold and champagne accessories for a monochromatic look.
I was lucky enough to have two dates for the evening. My boyfriend and LA babe Shauna (how incredible is her Valentino dress?!). It was such an incredible evening and I’m so happy for Devon Rachel to now be Mrs. Devon Cruse! For more pic from the wedding, check out #comeawaywithdandc on Instagram!
