My friend Marina got married in the middle of fashion week. While looking for an outfit to wear to the Nicole Miller show, I came across this navy dress. It was just perfect for the wedding−and for travel (jersey doesn’t crease!). I also imagined how I could dress it down for the show. I used boho accents to make it more casual, layering two different necklaces, draping a denim jacket over my shoulders, and slipping into lace-up sandals. At the wedding, I went more minimal using these accessories.
My shows that evening were anything but minimal. Nicole Miller took a trip to Rio with tropical fruit prints, palm trees and bold stripes. It was such a fun collection! Then I watched the most magical show of the week: Monique Lhuillier. Each pastel dress was more beautiful than the next, and ended in a finale walk with iridescent confetti. I literally got chills! It made me so appreciative that I get to work in the beautiful world of fashion.
