I’ve always been a fan of mixing prints. So when Trina Turk invited me into her LA store to play dress-up before fashion week, I immediately gravitated toward a diamond pattern top and colorful skirt. For an extra pop of print I added my new bag that I’m absolutely obsessed with. Even though NY has been incredibly hot, it can get cold at the shows so I added a leather jacket to drape over my shoulders.
At Trina’s presentation, prints were brighter, mixed with stripes and bold color, inspired by LA’s flower mart. Kate Spade also played with stripes and color. I especially loved the aquatic prints and cheeky clutches with lips, ladybugs and flower pots. Metallics are also a big trend for spring, and were done in all hues at Zimmermann. The Australian label mixed feminine lace and billowing dresses with leather and belted vests. And, like always, I wanted every swimsuit that came down the runway. See more pics over on Instagram!
