Fashion Staple Used: Asymmetrical Skirt
When you’re petite, your tailor becomes like family. I can’t even begin to tell you how many pieces I brought mine prior to fashion week. That’s why when you find a great petite section, it’s like striking gold. No more hemming, no more taking in, just plain shopping.
I really like the petite department at Nordstrom. Many of the pieces are the same that you’d get in the regular section, except they offer petite sizes too. Take this skirt, for example. An asymmetrical hemline would be a pain to hem. Luckily, the petite size falls in the perfect place, right above the knee. I love the way navy looks with gray, so I kept it minimal with a long-sleeve shirt and my pumps that just went on sale. The great thing about this look is it works whether you’re short or tall. All you have to do is order the the right size.
