Last weekend, my friend I decided to do a last minute girls getaway to Palm Springs. We stayed at the new Avalon Hotel and barely left the resort! One of my fave interior designers, Kelly Wearstler, updated the 1930s hotel with her signature glam vibe and incorporated touches of yellow everywhere from the lobby to the three pools and gorgeous rooms. The decor even inspired by outfits.
I’m obsessed with slip dresses for summer. They’re effortlessly chic and keep you cool (especially important for the desert heat!). I went with a bright, embellished mini and brought out the color even more with my accessories: yellow sandals and matching sunnies, which reflected the palm trees that surrounded the hotel. I also just found this cork clutch. It’s the perfect bag for any resort vacay.
