The other weekend I headed to Newport for my best friend’s bachelorette party. Before the bride arrived, I got to catch up with my friend Jess of Prosecco & Plaid. Being a native of the adorable Rhode Island town, she gave me a tour of the best spots. My favorite? Castle Hill. The gorgeous inn sits on top of a hill overlooking the Harbor. They have chairs on the lawn to sit and sip drinks (I went back with the bridal party to watch the sunset and even saw a surprise engagement!).
Jess and I both did a nautical theme. It’s hard not to with the scenery! I’m always a fan of white jeans for the summer. I paired mine with a new top that is great for hiding problem areas with asymmetrical piping in front and a longer hemline in back. And I just got these comfy wedges which were in heavy rotation during my travels. Jess even brought along jewelry from a local designer, Loren Hope, so we could stack on some sparkle as we sipped martinis. Head over to Jess’ blog for deets on her look!

The nautical color theme is always a classic and love the chic asymmetrical design of the top!

Perfect nautical look! Love the shoes!
Hi Sydne! I love your top and have a quick sizing question for you. I am pretty petite (5’3 and 100 lbs) and I was wondering what size you got? How tall are you, if you don’t mind me asking?
So chic girl!!! I love those shoes…I can see why they’d be in heavy rotation, they look great for getting around in (especially in the grass).
