One of my favorite jobs I had was working at Boston Magazine. It was my senior year of college and I couldn’t be more excited. The only part I didn’t love? Not being able to wear jeans to the office. In LA I was used to dressing up my denim for every occasion. But in more conservative Boston, denim blues at the office were a big no. Luckily, black jeans were considered acceptable.
So how do you dress up black jeans for work? The key is adding feminine, polished accents. Depending on the season, I’d either do pointy toe boots or classic pumps. Then I’d pair my denim with fitted sweaters and statement necklaces or silk blouses. Right now, I’m loving the bow blouse trend, which is the perfect ladylike pairing for black denim. I added a bow bag for an extra feminine touch.

I really love the way you styled this outfit! I am really into black skinny jeans at the moment-definitely more dressy/chic than blue jeans. And I really love the pussy-bow shirt! 🙂
