Inspired By: Jessica Alba’s Tulle Maxi Skirt

I didn’t really think about bringing out my ethereal maxi out during winter months. That is, until I saw Jessica Alba step out in the same tulle maxi skirt in Santa Monica. I love how she made it more casual with an oversize sweater and boots.

Since I’m four inches shorter than Jessica, I was nervous a boxy top would swallow me up so I did a slightly more fitted cashmere sweater. I also needed to roll the skirt at the waistband a few times in order to wear them with shorter booties (mine are only $39!). To make sure there was no extra bulk, I layered a super tight camisole under my sweater to hide the rolled waistband. And instead of her black tote I went with a taupe bucket bag to keep the winter neutrals look from head-to-toe. My favorite part about this outfit? While I was shooting it on Robertson Blvd, a little girl came up to me and asked me if I was a princess. It was too adorable.
