Kate Hudson always exudes an effortless ’70s vibe. The other night she stepped out to dinner at The Nice Guy in LA in full Penny Lane fashion. I loved her distressed denim on denim look and it inspired me to create a similar outfit of my own. I just got this jean jacket at fashion week and used a varsity pin instead of jewelry to give it more of a retro feel. Instead of flares, I slipped into skinny jeans (now on sale!) and used a simple sandal to make my legs longer. I wish I could replicate Kate’s adorable curls but it would take ages with my straight hair. But I did use one of my fave red lipsticks from this video for a pop of color. I finished it off with my new saddle bag, the perfect every-day purse for spring’s seventies trend!
