I hope everyone is having a great weekend! I had a few hours of downtime this morning so I wanted to share my outfit I wore to kick off fashion week at the BCBG show. New York has been having record low temperatures so I’ve been using layers to keep warm. I started with a super soft turtleneck over leather leggings. Then I added a blush suede jacket on top. When layering, it’s important to play with different lengths. Since my sweater was a longer tunic style, I kept the jacket cropped then used a thick belt to show off my waist. I love the look of the leather leggings with leather boots because it creates a streamlined feel, giving the illusion of extra long legs!

My favorite part about this look is I can wear all the separates differently when I’m back home in LA. I plan on layering the pink jacket over spring dresses and wearing the tunic with distressed denim and pumps. On the runway, it was all about layering, too. I especially loved how BCBG used form fitting sparkly knits to add some shine under heavier fabrics.
