One of my favorite looks from fashion week was planned months in advance. When I was visiting New York in August I popped in to see my friend Hunter Bell (you might remember her as the winner of Fashion Star). As I got a preview of her upcoming collection, my eyes locked in on the most fabulously luxe print in a dramatic silhouette. I immediately tried the skirt on over my dress and to my delight the sample fit! We both agreed it was the perfect piece for fashion week.

Wanting the skirt to remain the main focus of my look, I kept everything else very simple. I toyed with a basic t-shirt but the NYC heat had me opt for an off-the-shoulder top instead. I slipped on my go-to classic black accessories (ankle strap sandals and my investment Chanel) then tied my hair in a mess ponytail to combat the humidity. Since my first show that day was Project Runway with Mary Kay, I matched the skirt to my lip using “Poppy Please” lipstick.
