An Oscars Accessory Trend You Can Easily Wear in Real Life!

Sydne Style shows mismatched jewelry trend on the Oscars red carpet on Charlize Theron in Chopard diamonds in 2017Calling all Punky Brewster fans! Judging from the Oscars 2017 red carpet, mismatched accessories are back. Charlize Theron dazzled in Chopard earrings, one showcasing a 25-carat pear diamond and the other a 26-carat heart diamond. And Naomie Harris wore a Calvin Klein sequined dress that showed off yellow sandals with opposite sparkle.

So how do you apply this to real life? Instead of sporting an earrings set, go with two different shaped studs (a great solution to losing an earring!). Naomie’s shoes would make for a fun DIY project, or you could simply add an ankle bracelet to a pair of ankle strap sandals for a similar look.

Looking to add some more earrings to your jewelry chest? Here are some mismatched sets that don’t require you to have a bodyguard like Charlize:

As for the gowns, here are my top four favorites from the Oscars 2017 red carpet:

Sydne Style rounds up the best dressed red carpet fashion at the 2017 oscarsI’m normally a huge fan of color on the red carpet, But this year my best dressed list shows that neutrals can be just as powerful.  Nicole Kidman was a goddess in Armani Prive. She is seriously one of the most beautiful women in the world. I also loved the retro elegance of Kirsten Dunst in Dior (plus I’m always a fan of pockets!). Taraji P. Henson brought the drama in Alberta Ferretti. And I loved how Emma Stone nodded to La La Land with the fringe movement on her Givenchy gown.

Which actresses do you think deserved to be on the Oscars 2017 best dressed list?
