I haven’t worn my black and white pleated skirt in years. I actually forgot about the skirt completely until I saw Meghan Markle’s pleated dress that she wore on her birthday. The duchess attended a wedding wearing a Club Monaco pleated dress that obviously sold out immediately. I loved the look and decided to create my own version using my forgotten pleated skirt.
By pairing a black button down top with my pleated skirt I was able to create a similar look to Meghan’s pleated dress. I belted it with an another forgotten piece, a belt I picked up during one of my trips to Australia. Without a fascinator, I thought it would be a great look for a meeting. So I added classic accessories with a my vintage Chanel tote and black pumps. Thanks to the duchess for inspiring me to shop my closet!
