The pant suit trend is continuing to get bigger and bigger… and I’m all about it! Whenever I slip on a pant suit, I feel like a major girl boss. Plus, there are so many ways to wear pantsuits. Recently, I picked up this green pant suit while shopping with my friend. I was drawn to the color because I can wear it with white now, then bring it into fall with deeper hues.
with a crop top
I’ve never worn a suit with a crop top before. But when I tried on the high waist pants, I thought, why not show a little skin for summer? A slip of skin makes the suit sexy for a night out. But since the pants are high waist, you’re not showing too much skin, so the look is still polished. I brought out the white stripe of the pant with a white knit crop top then added my comfy block heel sandals, which I also have in nude.
with a tee
One of my favorite ways to wear a pant suit during the summer is with a t-shirt. It gives it more of a relaxed vibe, but is still office appropriate. I added a striped tee to my white linen suit (check out more ways to style a white suit over on my IGTV channel). I also loved the way Chriselle of The Chriselle Factor used a white tee and matching white pumps make her black suit summer ready.
with a tank
A tank is also a great base for a pant suit during summer. Sheryl of Walk in Wonderland used a scoop neck tan to give her seersucker suit a more casual feel. And I love how Kat of With Love From Kat went for a monochromatic vibe in head to toe neutrals.
with nothing underneath
To bring a pant suit into the evening, go bare! When I try this trend, I usually enlist the help of sticky tape or wear a super low cut camisole underneath. I also usually belt my blazer to keep it in place, like Jess of Not Jess Fashion did with her gorgeous lilac suit. If you’re going without a belt, take a cue from Annabelle of Viva Luxury and try wearing lingerie underneath that’s fancy enough to be seen.
