I don’t wear makeup daily. I usually just put on tinted moisturizer with SPF, add some mascara and lip gloss and call it a day. But if I have an important meeting, or just want to feel a little prettier, I have a go-to beauty regime. And guess what, it’s so quick! My 5 minute makeup routine is also super moisturizing, which is especially great for extreme climates like the heatwave we’re having right now.
I sped up the 5 makeup routine and cut it down to a minute to post over on Instagram reels if you want to watch. Below are details on all the product I use:
– Face –
I start with Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Niacinamide Dew Drops ($34). It’s a serum that majorly hydrates while giving a dewy glow to your face. Then I wet my Beautyblender Makeup Sponge ($20) with Caudalíe Beauty Elixir ($18-49). I prefer the mist over water for extra hydration.
I apply tarte Shape Tape Full Coverage Concealer ($30) in “Light Medium Sand” to my under-eyes and t-zone and bareMinerals Complexion Rescue Tinted Moisturizer with Hyaluronic Acid and Mineral SPF 30 ($37) in “Ginger 06” to the rest of my face. Then I blend it all together with by patting my face with my Beautyblender. I set it with NARS Light Reflecting Pressed Setting Powder ($39) in “Translucent” by pressing the powder under my eyes and to my t-zone, which tends to get very oily.
Aside from my setting powder, I’ve been gravitating more towards creams this past year. I sculpt my cheek bones with tarte SEA Breezy Cream Bronzer ($29) and color to the apple of my cheeks with ILIA Multi-Stick Cream Blush + Highlighter + Lip Tint ($34) – “In the Mood.” I blend both with tarte SEA Breezy Blender Cream Bronzer Brush ($29).
– EYES –
When I’m getting ready fast, I always reach for my eyeshadow sticks. I do different variations with various colors. But my most used trio is Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Cream Eyeshadow Stick ($32) in “Bone” on the brow bone and lid, “Cashew” in the crease and “Cinnamon” in the outer crease.
For a subtle cat eye, I use Revlon So Fierce Vinyl Eyeliner ($10.79) in “Mighty Mocha.” It’s really creamy so it’s easy to blend. Then in my waterline, I apply tarte Fake Awake Eyeliner ($20) to make me eyes look brighter. Covergirl Easy Breezy Brow All-Day Brow Ink Pen ($8.99) in “Honey Brown” is a two-in-one. It has a brush and the pen, which makes it fast and easy. And L’Oreal Paris Voluminous Balm Mascara ($9.99) in “Black” is like the mascara I’ve always used and loved, just with a more nourishing formula.
– LIPS –
I never really used lipliner until my mid-30s. And now, I can’t live without it when I wear lipstick. I’ve recently been pairing bareMinerals Mineralist Lasting Lip Liner ($19) in “Charming Pink” with bareMinerals Mineralist Lasting Matte Liquid Lipstick ($22) in “Influential.” It lasts forever! For a touch of gloss, I like to add tarte Maracuja Juicy Lip Balm ($21) in “Orchid” on top.
