Today’s solution: a red cardigan set (machine washable = kid-friendly), high-waisted jeans that hide the bloat after finishing my son’s snack, my fave crazy comfy white kicks, and gold hoops to feel, well, not basic.

💄 Beauty tip: For long-lasting lip color, I often use lip liner instead of lipstick—this is my fave nude with a little color.

I snapped the last selfie after a very long day of hosting my son’s second birthday party at home. If you asked me last February or the February before that if I ever thought I’d get to feel the way I did in that moment, I immediately would have said no. Just another reminder that sometimes, the universe doesn’t give you what you think you want because there’s something even better waiting ahead.

Puff sleeves are to millennials what shoulder pads were to Gen X. Since I have a petite frame (especially up top) I love the extra umph they add to my shoulders ✨.

When the puff sleeve trend took off six years ago, I gravitated toward crop tops. Now, as a 40-year-old mom, I’m embracing the reemergence of the puff sleeve in a comfier way: through the boho trend.

The jeans? Same. The red lip? Same shade I’ve been wearing forever 💄. But instead of lengthening my legs with sky-high Louboutins, I’d go for a skin-tone block heel. They’re more in line with my casual classic lifestyle.
