Mad Men‘s Christina Hendricks (Joan Holloway) is a stunning woman. One of the sexiest stars on TV in fact, according to TV Guide. But at the mag’s party last night, Christina’s beauty got lost in a strip of tulle.
I understand why she’d want to do something a little different with her black jumpsuit. After all, Heidi Klum, Jennifer Hudson, Rachel Weisz, Ana Ortiz and Kim Kardashian have all worn either Black Halo ($390) or Michael Kors’ ($1795 $807) strapless one-piece. But it looks like Christina just stuffed a yard of netting into her bra.
If she wanted to stand out, I would have told her to do it through accessories instead. I loved her black and red peep-toes but adding a red statement necklace would really have drawn attention to her auburn curls. Or, she could have gone with a black bib necklace and added a touch of shine by swapping her black wristlet for a metallic one. How would you have styled the star?

I kind of like the way the mess of tulle echoes her messy curls … but agree that a bib necklace would’ve worked equally well.

I think she looks nutty. It just doesn’t look good on her. I mean, she is GORGEOUS and has a great figure, this just isn’t the outfit for it. That said, I’m biased against jumpsuits in general. I find them *tolerable* on stick-thin column girls, but I don’t really *like* them on anyone.
