The most common complaint I hear about green fashion is it’s too expensive. But there’s no whining about cost with Zoe & Zac for Payless. The footwear and accessories are all under $30, and part of your purchase goes to The Nature Conservancy. Summer Rayne Oakes designed the earth-friendly collection and if you’re not familiar with her, I’m sure you will be soon. This girl is probably one of the most impressive models working today. She shoots high fashion editorial spreads, serves on the Board of Advisors and is a host for Planet Green, tours for her new book Style, Naturally and in her spare time travels to Africa where she does activist work and sells her own BOM lipbalm. Even with that crazy hectic schedule, Summer still managed to create a totally wearable collection.
The Tigerlily espadrille wedges (top left) are exactly like one of my favorite pairs from Banana Republic—except these are made with organic cotton, recycled rubber and natural jute (a pesticide-free plant fiber). You can buy one pair and get 1/2 off everything else at Payless through May 4th.
But before you place your order, you might want to read my next Payless post, coming up later today.
