I was just discussing last week how much I hated Rihanna‘s red eyeliner at the American Music Awards. Some of you may disagree but I thought it looked like dried blood leftover from an eyelift. Mila Kunis’ smokey crimson eyes back at the Emmys were much prettier—but the color was subtle.
I was hesitant about bold red eye makeup until a friend emailed me this photo of two adorable sisters rocking candy apple lids and a whole lotta leopard with their mom at the Original New Orleans Ladies, Kids & Men Buckjumpers traditional Second Line parade.

Super cute! I don’t know if it’s “done right” tho because no little girl should be wearing heavy eye makeup.
True, little girls shouldn’t wear makeup. But this was a special occasion. I doubt they would wear it to school. It just shows how to have fun with the color.
