ttF Fashion Staples Series Diary: Lavender for LAFW
LA Fashion Week hasn’t been the same since it left Smashbox Studios. But Angelenos are trying their best to bring it back in fashion. Last night they were successful.

The Fashion Group International of Los Angeles (FGILA) kicked off LA Fashion Week with their bi-annual Meet the Designers & Their Muses event. I was thrilled to finally be able to wear the Valentino gown I bought from an E! wardrobe sale (it used to be Giuliana Rancic’s). I tried making it a little more casual by pulling my hair into a pony tail and adding a chain statement necklace. As for makeup, I didn’t have much time to get ready so I kept my green smokey eye from earlier in the day and just added some more eyeliner. It was definitely my fave look this month.

I got beaucoup compliments from fellow bloggers including Kelsi Smith, Amy Gan, Tiffany Tse and Laurie B Style (pictured below in pink). Even Natalie Cole, yes as in Nat King Cole’s daughter, said she liked my necklace. It was a total OMG moment.

The event was held inside The Standard, but it was such a gorgeous evening that my friend Kinya and I had to go to the rooftop for cocktails. There we met two chic new friends, Jennifer of A Line Media and Sofia Shershunovich. If every LAFW event could be like this I would be in heaven.
