ttF Fashion Staples Series Diary: Roaring Around the Suites
For some reason this morning I decided to dig through the storage above my closet and pull out my most regrettable purchase: my painful leather boots. When I bought the shoes I remember thinking that they weren’t too comfy but I couldn’t resist. Not too comfy was the biggest understatement ever.

I have not worn the boots for three years and they are just as painful as I remember. After a day at the office and then stopping by the Silver Spoon Oscar gifting suite (yes, the same one Sarah Palin visited, so weird) I had to dash home to change shoes. I would never have been able to walk around the  Beverly Wilshire cabanas for a pre-Oscar evening benefiting the Red Cross Haiti relief fund if I hadn’t.

The rest of the evening certainly made up for a day of suffering soles thanks to a mini Kate Somerville facial and Le Journo hand massage in one of the prettiest hotels in Beverly Hills. And the boots? Well, they’ve gone back into storage.
