ttF Fashion Staples Series Diary: Shrimp and Grits
Since I loved grits so much, my parents insisted I must try shrimp and grits on my last night. It sounded weird but I thought, why not? Long story short, my stepdad ended up eating them and I have yet to taste the Southern dish. That’s okay; I’ll be back to Memphis soon enough.

After changing out of my black, lace and gold ensemble, I played with Bunny and our family Goldens, Bear and Fuzzy, and baked for the dogs with my mom. I don’t cook, so it was kind of hilarious that I spent my last night making cheese dog biscuits (you can read about it on my canine brother’s blog, Love Always Bear). But it was a blast—and a wonderful end to my first trip down South.
