I’m so happy I tailored this dress. It used to hit below the knee. The length was okay since the dress is so fitted but the shorter hemline is much more flattering for a 5’3 frame. Tonight was our last night in Miami so our friend Chad took us to one of the best restaurants on the beach: Blue Door at the Delano. A blue dress was very appropriate.

Chain sandals add so much sparkle that not much accessorizing is needed. I borrowed my friend’s bracelet, added some stud earrings and called it a day. I took advantage of the humidity and did a voluminous Bridget Bardot-inspired half updo. My hair just kept getting bigger as we ended the night at Louis, which has my favorite big chair on South Beach.
