Sometimes it’s hard to get dressed when you feel awful. But my rule of thumb usually is if you feel like crap, go that extra mile to look good When I woke up this morning, I did not want to get out of my pajamas (I’ll admit that smile you see above is fake).
Since I didn’t want anyone to notice how horrible I felt, I tried to up my spirits with one of my fave skirts. My mom bought it for a special occasion 13 years ago and only wore it once. It came with a matching jacket with big gaudy buttons I wish I hadn’t let her thrown away. I usually wear it with a ribbed tank, but today decided to be extra feminine by mixing the check print with the subtle dots of my sheer blouse.
Instead of, “Are you feeling okay?” I got, “Cute outfit!” Mission accomplished.
