I have a couple of trips planned for the month of August so I wanted staples that travel well. It’s also the official last month of summer so I chose items that would show off the tan I plan on getting if Los Angeles ever decides to warm up.

Here’s the breakdown of the 6 Fashion Staples I’ll be wearing at least 6 Different times for the next 31 days:

1. Lucite Necklace (Forever 21)
Lucite was one of the hottest accessory trends for summer. Shoes can look a little stripper as we’ve seen with certain celebs but jewelry is 70s fabulous. I recently bought this inexpensive piece from Forever 21 and got beaucoup compliments when I wore it to the ttF Swap. I love how it picks up whatever color you’re wearing.

2.  White Button-Down (Theory)
You can never go wrong with a classic button-down. For summer, I always go to my lightweight collarless version. You can cover up while still keeping cool.

3. Cream Belt (Ann Taylor)
I’ve worn this belt more times than I can count. I took it from my mom years ago and is the perfect waist cincher for summer.

4. White Ring (Lia Sophia)
A bold white ring is a fun way to inject some summer sparkle into your look. They have them at all price ranges.

5. Striped Dress (Nicole Miller)
When I hear Nicole Miller, I usually think of satin. So I was incredibly surprised to find out that this striped dress was by the designer. It felt more Michael Kors with its resort style stripes. The ruching is incredibly flattering and the subtle silver lurex lines make it work just as well for night as it does for day.

6. Chain Sandals (RACHEL Rachel Roy Neila)
I actually bought these sandals when I was visiting my parents in Memphis. I’m not usually into chains and crystals. But the cream leather made them a little less Vegas.
