ttF Fashion Staples Series Diary: Tory Burch Brand Lunch
As much as I love living in LA, one of the drawbacks is I don’t get to meet all the fabulous people in fashion who live in New York. So I was thrilled when Karen, of Purple Lab (among many other fashion and beauty ventures), invited me to a Tory Burch blogger lunch. I sat with the brand’s PR and marketing gurus as well as my fave Brit blogger, Catherine of Red Carpet Fashion Awards, and a new London blogger I look forward to following, Kristin of The Clothes Whisperer. It was my first, and only, sit down lunch at fashion week. After ending the meal with decadent chocolate chip cookies dipped in the Deal-Closer (a must desert if you dine at The Standard Grill), we could barely move. But the mention of gifts quickly brought all of us to our feet.

We were each allowed to pick out an accessory from the Tory Burch store in the Meatpacking District. It was as if I had died and gone to fashion blogger heaven! Half of us went directly to the purses while the others, myself included, were drawn to the shoes. When I spotted the Halima hiking bootie, my decision was made. The only problem was there were too many colors to choose from! Should I play it safe with black or brown? Or go bold with tan and neon orange laces?  I thought back to Tory’s vibrant spring collection and took a walk on the wild side. I can’t wait to wear them!
