It was very hard deciding on October’s staples. How are you supposed to dress like it’s fall when it’s 90 degrees outside? So I thought about one of my favorite trends this season: camel. I wanted to incorporate different textures so I could use the staples for the heat and the cold. And I just had to use these fab booties!
Here’s the breakdown of the 6 Fashion Staples I’ll be wearing at least 6 Different times for the next 30 days:
1. Silk Button-Down (Ann Taylor)
With the 70s making a comeback, luxe silk tops are all over the place. The minute I put this one on I didn’t want to take it off. The fabric is so incredibly decadent. It makes me understand why people splurge on silk sheets.
2. Multi-Gem Chain Necklace (lia sophia)
This season is all about mixing metals. While the chain of the necklace is gold, the stones allow you to wear it with silver or bronze.
3. Cowl Neck Sweater Dress (Bebe)
I adore the turtleneck trend but it’s not quite cold enough to have my neck completely covered. A cowl neck was the perfect solution. I put one of my models in this dress during a Mystyle 3-Way shoot I did at Bebe. I loved it so much I had to buy it!
4. Amber Ring (lia sophia)
Bronze is one of the biggest metallics for fall. And an amber ring gives the feel of bronze with some bling. I love how it goes with brown or black and is understated enough to wear during the day.
5. Textured Tights (Forever 21)
When it’s too hot to wear opaque tights but you still want to cover up, textured hosiery is the answer. These are one of my favorite pairs. They’re a fishnet made of ombré fabric that goes from nude to brown to black.
6. Hiking Booties (Tory Burch)
During New York Fashion Week, I was told I could pick out one accessory from Tory Burch’s boutique. I thought it would be impossible to make the decision… until I saw these Halima hiking booties.
