ttF Fashion Staple: Crop Top and Blue Necklace
The first show I saw at fashion week, Nicholas K, featured deep green velvet. So I was thrilled I brought this gown my mom gave to me ages ago and never wore. By layering a crop top over the dress, it turned into a maxi skirt, which is trending big time from season to season this year. The beauty of the maxi length is you can wear more comfortable shoes underneath, which is perfect if you have to walk around a city.
On top I did a fur… faux fur. As a huge animal person, I’ve been cringing every time I see fur on the runway. There’s been way too much of it this season. So I applaud designers like BCBGMaxAzria, Rebeca Minkoff and Tibi (who I saw, and LOVED, today) for showing faux options.

I love the crop top. LOVE IT
I am not thirlled about the outfit. If you are confident though, you can rock anything.
The top and necklace go great together. The velvet dress is kind of a miss.
I would have worn it this way:
Velvet skinny black pants
Large golden tone earrings
Taupe platform pumps
