ttF Fashion Diary: Fig & Olive Opening

ttF Fashion Staple: Bandeau Top
Tonight I attended the third opening night of Fig & Olive, “An Evening in the South of France.” To tie into the French theme, there was a Chloé presentation (one of the models wore the leather cutout dress Kate Bosworth made me fall in love with at Sundance). Since I knew it was going to be a fashion-forward event, I decided to take some risks with my outfit. I tapped into the popular sheer trend and let my metallic bandeau shine through under a mesh button-up. The pleated skirt already has a light pink colored layer, which photographed to be nude. This was certainly one of those outfits that registered better in real life.

I used my studded booties and statement ring to edge it up a bit and since I felt a bit like Cher in Clueless, I went with a 90s Gucci purse. The party was a blast, sipping Moët & Chandon with my friends (pictured below: Kristen of Glitter n Glue, Jen of E! Online and Dahvi of People.com). But the real treat was the food! I got to taste oysters, zucchini soup and paella from Executive Chef Pascal Lorange and Michelin-Star guest chefs. If you’re in the area, I certainly recommend trying out Fig & Olive. I can’t wait to go back!

This look is really great. Sophisticated and feminine with a dash of edge!
