“Too Faced is about being a girl,” Creative Director Jerrod Blandino tells us about the cosmetics line. And as you can see from the pictures inside the Glam Factory, Jerrod isn’t lying. I got a chance to view the girlie paradise along with a fab group of beauty bloggers, including host Nadine Jolie, as part of Too Faced Cosmetics’ Meet & Tweet. After getting picked up in a limo on Hollywood Boulevard (I know, pretty awesome), we were driven to Irvine and entered what could easily pass for Barbie’s palace.
Black crystal chandeliers illuminated a pink space filled with makeup galore and any girl’s weakness: champagne and cupcakes, thanks to Nicolas Feuillatte and Sprinkles. After we took our seats, Jerrod introduced us the company, making everyone laugh with his adorable stories and inspiration behind many of the products. Apparently Too Faced’s popular Chocolate Soleil bronzer was inspired by a chocolate facial. Delish!
Next, it was time for Director of Artistry/Miracle Worker Kalina Fernandez to give us a quick demo using products from Too Faced’s summer collection. Being a Miami girl at heart I must say I’m obsessed because the line gives you that perfect sunkissed glow. It’s appropriately called The Bronzed Have More Fun. Jerrod’s sister is a melanoma survivor. So he’s all about getting the glow without sacrificing health. The products do just that from the tinted primer to a bronzing set that contours the face to deliver model worth angles.
I used the Bronzed and Beautiful palette, Full Bloom Ultra Flush Blush in Sweet Pink and Glamour Gloss in Chihuahua Bite, named after Jerrod’s pup. The result? I can happily say the bronzed certainly do have more fun.
