What does Prep World mean to celebrities? Judging by the Tommy Hilfiger-clad stars at last night’s Tommy Hilfiger Prep World Pop-Up Shop Party at The Grove it’s all about blazers, button-downs and a touch of Hollywood glamour.

Malin Akerman led the glamour girls in a deep V-neck pleated chiffon dress. A braided belt and brown booties gave the look a more casual feel. Teresa Palmer continued the deep-V trend in bright red silk while Melissa George opted for a higher neckline with silver sequins. For part of the party she also used a seersucker blazer to keep warm when the sun went down.

A preppy jacket is the perfect way to combat a chilly summer night. Hailee Steinfeld went with plaid paired with one of my ttF Fashion Staples this month: the white leather skirt. But my fave was London actress Emma Greenwell‘s mix of seersucker and eyelet with a plaid pocket square. Bijou Phillips ditched her normally boho look for a preppier navy and white pairing. I just wish she opted for the popular Tommy Hilfiger oxfords or t-straps instead of the chunky pump.

Another big trend of the evening was the white button-down. It’s no surprise considering it’s an absolute classic staple. I went with sheer, Arielle Kebbel did ruffled silk, Sara Paxton played with dots (side note: I was obsessed with her bag) and Cobi Smulders went with a crisp oxford and the same adorable canvas platforms as Melissa George.

The store is open to the public at The Grove in LA from today through Sunday, before jetsetting off to Europe. I especially loved the white and green polka dot prints! And they’re reasonably priced, too. The blouse I had my eye was $90. But my fave part? The bright mallards that lined the shelves. Too cute.
