For my third and final Steve Brings It posts, Steve Madden asked bloggers to come up with party tips for our iconic party theme. So here it goes for Oscars!
Tip #1: Pick a fabulous dress. This one’s a no brainer. Look for something with extra special details. This blush BCBG feathered strapless reminds me of my favorite Oscars dress of all-time: Penelope Cruz in Atelier Versace at the 2007 Academy Awards. Absolute perfection.
Tip #2: Compliment your dress with an equally fabulous pair of heels. I went monochromatic in blush with Steve Madden’s CYCILE peep-toes. Cool side note? When taking these pics I learned I have almost the same shoe size as Marilyn Monroe!

Tip #3: Don’t forget the jewelry. Sure, us normal girls can’t speed dial Harry Winston for loaner diamonds. But that doesn’t mean we can’t make a statement. If your dress already has a lot going on, stick to one special piece. I did a lia sophia rose gold and silver ring. Went with a more minimalist look? Spice it up with a blinged out statement necklace.
Tip #4: Confidence is key. No matter what outfit you choose, if you wear it with confidence you’ll look gorgeous. So make sure you’re comfortable in your party look so you can flaunt your smile as you walk into the room… just like a Hollywood star at the Oscars.
