The Scene: A Day With Herve Leger

(Backstage with Max Azria, peach perfection, show run-through, harnesses and fringe, makeup, Coco Rocha, fringe top and leather skinnies, shoes, final look)

Before I left for fashion week, I was lucky enough to get the chance to pull looks from the LA showroom to wear to BCBGMaxAzria and Hervé Léger. My love for neon lead my straight to a black and blue bandage dress with fluorescent yellow piping. I added an extra pop of neon with my arm candy.  Designer Max Azria pulled me aside backstage before the show because he loved my use of color. It was a major OMG moment.

While interviewing Lubov Azria (I’ll post the video soon!), I learned about the equestrian inspiration of the collection, which celebrated a woman’s strength and femininity. She gave me a little tip about the harnesses: they are a great way to update your old bandage dresses.

Hervé Léger dress (borrowed), necklaces c/o Stella & Dot, Forever 21, lia sophia and Stella & Dot bracelets, Steve Madden shoes
I didn’t have time to change all day. So to make the low neckline more appropriate for my earlier shows, I simply layered a black long sleeve knit over my dress to turn it into skirt.
When it was time to hit the BCBG dinner and party sponsored by Elle magazine, I simply tied my hair back into a sleek ponytail for more drama and added sparkly studs.

Great idea to throw on the black top! That dress is too fun! Looks great as the full dress and as a skirt 🙂
