After reporting on red carpet trends Sunday night, I rushed over to my friend Kelly’s for a Golden Globes viewing party. Kelly always throws the most fabulous affairs. To watch the award show, she went with a Hollywood theme. There were star-shaped finger sandwiches, hats full of popcorn and star-rimmed glasses full of Skinnygirl cocktails. With a room full of fashion bloggers, the photobooth was of course the most popular part of the party! I went for an Old Hollywood feel to celebrate the evening.
Since emerald is the color of 2013, I brought out a vintage velvet dress that used to be my mother’s (thanks mom!) and accessorized with emerald jewelry. With the 1920s making such a comeback in fashion, I felt retro waves and a faux fur coat would be the perfect finishing touch.
