Flirty Nights With Revlon

Sydne-Style-pleated-dress-trend-black-leather-andkle-strap-sandals-steve-madden-realove-flirty-styleWhenever I get dressed, I think about two things: the occasion and my mood. Usually, I use beauty to complement my outfit. For a more glam outfit, I’ll do a bold lip. Or for a more sultry look, I’ll try a smoky eye. In the past, I only used makeup to elevate my mood. It’s amazing what red lipstick can do for you on a bad day!

So when ELLE and Revlon introduced me to the PS Experience I was intrigued. Essentially it’s an online fashion film that you direct through a series of questions. The surprise ending reveals your style personality, and gives you suggestions on beauty products to experiment with. I thought for sure I’d get Classic. But instead, my outcome was Flirty!

I decided to do something I never do. Start my outfit with my makeup. To me, flirty means sparkle. So I tried out the Revlon PhotoReady™ Primer, Shadow + Sparkle in their brand new color combo, Muse (pretty fitting considering the makeup was my muse for my look!). It’s a pretty cool palette because you can layer depending on how intense of a look you want to create. Being in a Flirty mood, I decided to go all out.

Luckily, the palette is so easy to use. It gives you a step-by-step tutorial in back from applying the primer all over the eye to using the highlight on the brow bone. One cool trick is dabbing the applicator in water before applying the shadow. It gives intense color and even becomes multi-dimensional when you add the sparkle on top.

Once I was done with my eyeshadow I added two coats of mascara, some pink blush and a light pink glossy lip. Since the purple color was so intense I decided to keep my outfit neutral. The pleating of this dress felt like a flirty complement to my sparkly eyes. The pleating is feminine but the leather adds a bit of edge. I kept twirling all night!

So next time you can’t decide what to wear, try starting with your makeup first! You can play the Revlon PS Experience on Facebook.com/Revlon. The content refreshes monthly so you’ll always have new beauty ideas. I wonder what mood I’ll be in tomorrow? You can share your style personality with the hashtag #revlonpersonalstyle.

I’m not usually a Revlon eye shadow fan, but that little palette looks great!
