Sequins are a go-to when you don’t know what to wear on New Year’s Eve. I especially love this one because a) the taupe underlay gives the golden sequins a rich bronze feel and b) it’s my fave party silhouette: super short with a high neckline.

For cold weather, you could easily pair the dress with black tights, stilettos and a fun black faux fur coat. But since I’ll be in LA this year, I can get away with bare legs. I went for a monochromatic look by adding all gold and bronze accessories (the trick is playing around with different textures). A tan would be the ideal finish but unfortunately I won’t be seeing the ball drop in Miami like I did with E! back in 2011!
