NYFW: Bold Color

After the BCBG show, I popped back into my room at The Empire Hotel to get ready for Tadashi Shoji. The designer is a master at lace, so I went with the feminine fabric again, swapping last season’s red for navy. Back in LA, I’ll wear this dress with white sandals and a gold clutch. But to winterize the look, I was inspired by Blair Waldorf from Gossip Girl and I went with bold color: navy tights and a fuchsia coat.

On the runway, red ruled in luxe velvet, chiffon and, of course, lace. I had to catch my breath over Tadashi’s statement cape! Blues and teals brought cool colors to the runway and a slew of shimmery dresses sashayed down that we’ll no doubt be seeing on the red carpet.
