Living in LA, there are only two seasons: warm and mild. But when I visit NYC every month I’m reminded that it’s cold during winter! That’s why I like to get creative so I can wear my Spring clothing in freezing temps. Last fashion week, Nicole Miller was all about Rio de Janeiro. I was seriously obsessed. This jungle print is one of the retail outcomes of the runway. If I was in LA I would wear it with chunky sandals. But in NY I added black. I ended up liking how the dark color made the vibrant print pop even more!
Nicole Miller’s Fall runway was majorly black. The designer even dubbed it the dark side. My fave look was a pair of leather pants with a leopard coat. Before the show I stopped by by the IRC pop up. I didn’t know much about the charity but after talking to them I really connected. The International Rescue Committee is dedicated to help refuges thrive in America. My grandfather escaped from a concentration camp during World War II then went on to build a whole business in America. So we chatted about that refugees over the years while drinking Chef Marco Canora’s bone broth. Yes, you read that correctly. Souping apparently is a growing trend in NY. With record low temps, I was all about it.
