I’ve never had a huge sweet tooth… except when it comes to ice cream. As a kid, my favorite flavor was cookies & cream. I remember one summer my grandfather took me to a local ice cream shop in New York. Right when he put the cone in my hand the scoop fell and I started crying. He smiled and replaced it with a double scoop. It’s funny how certain foods bring up sweet memories of loved ones.
In today’s Friday Fave, I wanted to introduce you to one of my favorite ice cream shops in Los Angeles, Sweet Rose Creamery. While I still have a love for my childhood go-to, I love trying their locally made flavors. The other week I got blood orange and it was so refreshing!
Speaking of nostalgia, the denim skirt has made a major comeback. Since I got rid of my collection years ago, I picked up a new one the other day for only $14! I paired it with another trend that’s now popular again: the polo shirt. To go with the classic theme, I added a brown leather watch my other grandfather left me. It doesn’t work but every time I wear it I think of him. I hope all of you have a wonderful weekend!
