I’ve expanded my What To Wear To column to an Ask Sydne column. That way I can answer all your questions from fashion and beauty to even more personal details. Just fill out this form to ask your questions, or comment below. Today, I’m answering a question I got asked a few times on my Youtube channel: what charities are you involved with?
As an animal lover, I’ve been a supporter of Best Friends Animal Society for many years. I even took a trip with my mom to volunteer at their Utah sanctuary. It was an incredible experience. You can sponsor an animal online, which I often do as a gifts over the holidays or in memory of a friend’s pet. I also designed a skirt last year to support the charity. I was so happy when my blogger girls got involved as well.
Best Friends has an extension called No-Kill Los Angeles, which aims to make LA a no-kill city by 2017. If you live around the area, they have a ton of events for adoption and fundraising. At year’s NKLA adoption fair, I even got to interview Lassie!
I was recently introduced to Step-Up Women’s Network. It’s an incredible charity that helps inspire girls to reach their full potential. I attended their Inspiration Awards last week and was truly touched by all the speeches of the young girls and celebrities like Julie Bowen and Elizabeth Banks, who are huge supporters. One of my favorite denim brands, Hudson Jeans, presented the awards. So I wore their palm tree print (very fitting for a luncheon at the Beverly Hilton!) to the event. I’m definitely looking forward to getting more involved with the charity this year.

Volunteering for a worthy cause is definitely something I have been looking into so this post really inspires me, thanks for sharing! Love the palm tree print jeans too, such a chic design!
